Making the Sausage – Learning SRV’s “Riviera Paradise”

Working on learning Stevie Ray Vaughan’s “Riviera Paradise” so that I can then do a lesson on how to play it.

This is where I am as of last night…the sausage being made…a long way to go before I’ll be ready. I used my Vox DA5 practice amp on this, and it sounds surprisingly good for such an inexpensive digital amp.

Meet Lenny and Roxy – My Italian Greyhound 20MPH Couch Potatoes

I met Lenny as a two month old pup, he’s now ten years old, and still very active. Roxy is his four year old daughter. They take me outside about once every hour to play fetch, and I don’t mind because it gets me up and outside, and they love it.

But first, they wait while I have some coffee:

Coffee is finished, so it’s time to play! Usually, I’m not holding a camera, so I take their toys and make them sit between each throw, but today they got to just run:

Quick lesson to get you up and playing the I-IV-V Rock and/or Blues progression in any key, without the need to know music theory. We tune-up, I give an example of the progression, then show how to figure them out on your own, using the low-E string and power chords.
