This riff is in the style of Dickey Betts as played on “You Don’t Love Me” off the Macon City Auditorium concert album.
If you want to help me continue to work out these riffs/solos and songs, and put out the tab, take a moment to buy and download my cover of “Little Martha” on iTunes. I’d sure appreciate it!
I realize some of you can’t afford it, so that’s cool…but I know some of you can.
It’s a better world when we all do our part. Please don’t just take and run…not cool.
Thanks,
Rick
Download “Little Martha” from iTunes, I’d sure appreciate it!
This guitar lesson is how to play the first section of the Allman Brothers Band’s Dickey Betts guitar solo from “One Way Out” off the Macon City Auditorium Concert of 2/11/1972 CD. This is the first concert they played following the death of founding member Duane Allman.
From HittintheNote.com:
“The third Allman Brothers archival release, and perhaps the most poignant one. Recorded in Macon, GA in February 1972, these 2 CDs present the unified front that was the five-man version of the band as it gamely carried on following the loss of Duane Allman. Powerful music, played with lots of soul and heart and passion – music like you never heard before.”
Before You Download the Tab: I’m helping you learn these licks/solos/songs and lessons, and now I am asking you to please help me with a small PayPal donation, or stream my song Maxstrumental 6C for free using Apple Music, Spotify or rdio.com, or watch my video titled “Caroline’s Kaleidoscope Chill” below. Please also add the songs to playlist. Thank you!
